Important changes: .com domain name price increase

Verisign will increase the price of .COM domain names starting September 1, 2021. Unfortunately, this means Name Silo needs to do the same. We are contacting you because you have an active or expired .COM domain name in your account.

But you still have time to renew your current domain name for multiple years, or register any new .COM name before September 1st to get the current lower price.

The good news is that starting September 1, 2021, we will be doubling the discount on .COM domain names across our discount program tiers (click here for details and to register). Please note that our current .com pricing is still the best price overall, so we recommend renewing your domain name for multiple years or registering a new .com domain name before September 1st.

New prices: The new prices for our .COM domain names are as follows:

Registration:

1 – 49 domain names per order: USD 9.95/domain name

One order of 50 – 100 domain names: USD 9.85/domain name

101 – 500 domain names per order: $9.75 USD/domain name

Renewal:

$9.95 per year

Transfer:

$8.99/domain name

Mitigation measures:

1. We recommend that you renew any .COM domain name you wish to retain by September 1st, which will renew at the current price. You can renew your domain name for multiple years to lock in a lower price.

2. Sign up for our discount program now and start saving more on your registration and renewals here. We'll be increasing the discount tiers to the above prices on September 1st, meaning you'll pay even less than the new .com price increase. As a reminder, the following are the steps to update domain names in batches:

Step 1 - Please log in to your account and go to your domain management

Step 2 - Select the checkbox next to all domain names you want to renew and click "Renew Domain Name" at the top:

Step 3 - On the following page, select the year you wish to renew your domain name and proceed with your order (see maximum renewal period below):

**Please note that .COM domain names have a maximum term of 10 years, so you can currently renew until 2031. This means that if your domain is set to expire in 2022, you can only renew it for another 9 years today; if it expires in 2023, you can only renew it today for another 8 years, and so on.
