You can transfer your domain name to GoDaddy from another registrar. Before completing the steps at GoDaddy, you need to prepare your domain name with your current registrar. If your domain is already registered with GoDaddy, you can move your domain to another GoDaddy account.

Preparing for transfer

To prepare your domain name for transfer, you need to complete several steps with your current registrar.

1. Unlock your domain name with your current registrar.
2. Obtain an authorization code (also called an EPP code or Transfer Key) from your current registrar.
3. Verify contact information for your domain. Your current registrar may use the administrator's contact information during the transfer process.

Start transfer

Once you have your domain name ready, you can complete the process with GoDaddy.

1. Search for the domain name you want to transfer on the GoDaddy website.

   Note: A domain name is not eligible for transfer to another if it is within 60 days of registration or previous transfer, or if the customer elects to transfer the lock within 60 days of a change of registrant. Registrar Qualifications.

2. Confirm that the domain name is unlocked. You'll see a green checkmark next to Unlock domain. If this section is not green, you will need to confirm with your current registrar that your domain is unlocked.
   

   Note: You can refresh the unlocked status by selecting the Refresh Status button.

3. Enter your authorization code in the second field. If the authorization code entered is valid, you will get a green check mark.
   
4. Click Continue.
5. Select your domain privacy options and click Continue.
6. Select your payment method and click Complete Purchase to complete your payment.

Note: Domain name transfer may take 5 to 7 days to complete.
