Server type Choose Server The first two are the most commonly used here. Cloud Compute is a conventional SSD hard drive VPS, and High Frequency is a high-frequency CPU plus NVMe SSD hard drive VPS. High Frequency is one-fifth more expensive than Cloud Compute, but High Frequency is Frequency has a high CPU frequency and fast hard disk read and write speeds. This site still recommends using the High Frequency package.

2. Select vultr operating system and price

Next, select vultr operating system in Server Type. The operating system must be a 64-bit operating system such as 64 bit OS. Then it is recommended to choose centos7, because it is most suitable for building websites and has the best compatibility with the pagoda panel.

Server Size Select the vultr server configuration and price here. Generally, the cheapest one can be used for a new site. After selecting, there is no need to do other operations, just click Deploy Now in the lower right corner to generate the server.

3. Check the vultr server IP and password

Next, click on the name to view the vultr server IP and password. The server IP can be seen directly here. There is no port written here. Vultr vps, like most merchants, uses port 22 by default. Click the little eye icon in the lower left corner of the picture to see the password for vultr vps. Many friends want to test whether the new IP can be used or ping the IP address of the server. This method has been unavailable since 2019. It is recommended to use xshell to connect to the server directly. If you cannot connect, it means there is something wrong with the IP. Because vultr is billed by the hour, you can click the trash can icon in the upper right corner to delete the vultr vps and start a new one.
