Recently, this site bought a GigsGigsCloud VPS and found that the SSH user provided by GGC is ggcuser. You need to manually switch to root after connecting to the host. Some friends may not know how to switch. This article shares the tutorial for switching to root user.

1. GigsGigsCloud SSH information

After completing the purchase, GigsGigsCloud will send the SSH information of the VPS to your registered email address, including the SSH port and SSH username (the password is in the GGC background). The SSH port is changed from the default 22 to a random one. 5 digits, the SSH username has also been changed from the default root to ggcuser, as shown in the figure below:

If you need root permissions after connecting to GigsGigsCloud VPS remotely, you need to manually upgrade to root user permissions.

2. Obtaining GigsGigsCloud root permission

It is also very simple to obtain root permissions. After connecting to the GigsGigsCloud VPS, run the command sudo -i to switch to the root user. As shown in the figure below, the logged-in user is ggcuser. After executing the command, he becomes root. :
