1. Log in to your account and click the "Get Account Verification" link

2. To complete local bank card verification, you need to select "Verify my bank account" and click Continue

3. Add a local bank account in China. There are currently 3 banks supported, namely Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank and China Merchants Bank.

Special note:

By default, the "Bank Account Name" column will be pre-filled with the user's full name when registering a PayPal account. Here is a practical example to help you check. For example: the customer's Chinese name is Chen Xiaoming, the surname filled in when registering PayPal is "Chen", the first name is "Xiaoming", and the bank account name opened in the bank is Chen Xiaoming. Then, when adding a local bank card for authentication, you need to fill in the Chinese name of the bank account - "Chen Xiaoming". If the "Bank Account Name" column is inconsistent with the name of the customer's bank account, the customer will not be able to receive the two small deposits issued by PayPal.

Tips 1:

√ For the vast majority of users in mainland China, the name opened in a bank account is usually the same Chinese name as on the ID card. √ For foreigners living in mainland China, please contact the bank where you opened your account to confirm your bank account name in China

Tips 2:

PayPal recommends that users use pinyin letters to register PayPal. If you use Chinese when registering, it will not affect local bank authentication. However, PayPal recommends that you change your name to the pinyin form after completing the authentication to avoid unnecessary trouble when conducting cross-border transactions in the future. 4. After confirming that the information is accurate, click the "Add Bank Account" button to start the authentication process.

5. Wait for 5 to 7 working days, and then you can view 2 small deposits into your bank account through the bank card's online banking, phone, or bank statement. As shown below

The two small deposits are 0.11 yuan and 0.02 yuan respectively.

6. Log in to the PayPal site and click the "Confirm Bank Account" link in the system notification bar on the right side of the page to enter the page for completing local bank card authentication. Combine the 2 small deposits found in the previous step, Just enter the box in the image below. There is no order of precedence, you can choose any one to enter.

Why haven’t I received the small deposit after 5-7 working days?

Please check whether the added bank card information is correct, such as name (usually in Chinese for Chinese users), bank card number, etc. If all information is confirmed to be correct, please try another bank card.

After I lost the deposit amount several times, the amount was incorrect and I can’t re-enter it. What’s going on?

This is because you mistakenly entered the wrong amount for three small deposits. Please contact PayPal customer service to reactivate your bank account.

When I added this certified bank account, the name of the bank account holder I filled in was inconsistent with the name registered in the PayPal account. Is this okay?

Supplementary credit card authentication:

On the page to choose your authentication method, select "Link and confirm my debit or credit card." Click "Continue"

Enter the "Associate and Confirm My Credit Card" page and continue to fill in the information. After confirming that everything is correct, click "Save and Continue"

(1) When entering the Visa or MasterCard card number, you need to add spaces according to the card number displayed on the card.

(2) The security code is the authentication number of the credit card or debit card. Just find the last three digits in the signature column on the back of the credit card and fill it in.

The American Express security code is a 4-digit number printed on the front of your card. This number appears after or to the right of the card number.

After adding your credit card for the first time, PayPal will charge $1.95 USD to your credit card and submit a 4-digit code. You can find the 4-digit extended usage number associated with this charge on your next credit card statement.

Tips:

You can obtain your extended usage number by accessing your credit card statement online within up to 4 working days; if you cannot access your credit card statement online, please wait for the statement mailed to you by the bank. If you are in a hurry and don't want to wait, call the credit card center directly for manual service and ask for a 4-digit PayPal authentication code. You can say this: Please help me check that I have a purchase of US$1.95. The purchase description contains a 4-digit authentication code for PayPal verification.

Submit certification number

Log in to your PayPal account, click the "Unverified" status, enter the association confirmation page, and enter the number. Click "Submit"
