Use plugins to limit or prohibit WordPress from generating thumbnails of certain sizes

The Stop Generating Unnecessary Thumbnails plug-in, formerly called Stop Generating Image Sizes, allows you to disable some image sizes, thus reducing the thumbnail file size. The plugin is compatible with any theme and other plugins, and best of all, it’s also compatible with multisite mode.

After unzipping, upload the files inside to the /wp-content/languages/plugins directory.
