Snail blog is built using debian+llsmp. I was doing some fine-tuning recently and found a problem. When replying to a user's comment message, no email reminder was given to the user, even if we installed the WordPress comment reminder plug-in. I originally thought it was because there was no sendmail component in the llsmp environment. When I tried to install the sendmail component before, it caused a database connection error, so I didn't dare to mess with it.

So I asked Brother Captain, a VPS veteran, for advice on how to solve it. The solution given was as follows, so I solved the problem by following the same method. The specific solutions are as follows:

Open the etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf file, and then modify dc_eximconfig_configtype=\\’local\\’ to dc_eximconfig_configtype=\\’internet\\’

Then restart exim4:

At this time, we are responding to user comments, and the test can receive email reminders. By default LLSMP has the SENDMAIL component installed.
