Snail originally purchased a KVM VPS host for a month during RamNode’s New Year promotion. The original intention was to personally see the methods of installing Windows systems in KVM environments that were circulated on the Internet, although most merchants do not allow such operations. My intention is just to test whether it can be successful, and I do not recommend users to do this because it may cause certain risks to the account machine.

Later I saw that the 2008 version is available in the RamNode system, and then I wrote an article \\"Complete RamNode KVM VPS host installation comes with Windows 2008R2 system\\" The article was delayed, and today I saw the previous machine It has expired. I have no choice but to open a KVM to experience how to install the KVM environment if there is no Windows environment.

Statement: The KVM architecture is used here, and the installation can only be done if you have SolusVM panel driver selection and other default conditions. However, according to netizens’ reminders, not all KVM environments can be installed, so netizens who read this article only have a snail’s experience. This process, and the process of installing Windows using this method is complicated and takes a long time. I was originally going to write it in one article, but the process is complicated so I divided it into two steps. This article is used to partition the drive letter and mount. Install Debian system environment.

First, KVM installation Debian environment preparations

Because the Debian environment supports Grub boot, we need to install the Debian environment through the mounting step installation method, instead of using the Debian installation in the default system, and the partition drive letter needs to be used in the process. The process is to boot DOS through Grub, and then install the GHO image through DOS. We will not care about the required files for now, as they will be mentioned later and need to be prepared.

Here we need to select the preferred CD for booting, and then select the DEBIAN system mount in the CDROM tab.

After completing the settings here, you need to REBOOT and restart the server in the SolusVM panel.

Second, log in to the server through VNC to configure language and password

Select one of them and just log in to the VNC desktop.

When you see this interface here, use the keyboard arrow keys to select INSTALL and press Enter.

We can choose Simplified Chinese here, because we can understand it a little bit later in the process. Of course, if we like to read other languages, we can also.

Here we select the time zone and keyboard language, and press Enter after selecting.

Enter any host name.

To configure the network, just enter a domain name.

Here we need to set the ROOT password for this server, because we will need to use SSH to log in later. You need to enter it again after pressing Enter.

We need to set the DBIAN account login username and password. The latter needs to be entered twice, and the former needs to be confirmed once by pressing Enter.

Third, partition system drive letter

This is more important, we need to set the partition.

Here we need to set the size and drive letter based on the above partition. The Windows drive letter is used to install the WIN system later, and DOS is used to store the GHO file. This should be based on our actual GHO file size and should not be too wasteful.

The Debian distribution will be automatically installed after formatting the disk. During the installation process, we need to select the mirror source address. We can choose 163 or Debian official, and just press Enter for the others.

Fourth, Debian installation process record

In short, everything is installed automatically, we can just wait.

We do not participate in package popularity surveys here.

SSH and standard system tools must be installed here. If not selected, select it with a space and continue.

Select GRUB to boot to the master boot record.

Seeing this means that the installation is complete. We continue to restart the machine, provided that we can submit the settings for hard disk startup.

To summarize, here we have deployed the Debian environment. We need to reset the drive disk option to the front, and then restart the server. We can use the VNC link to see if we can enter the desktop.
