Linode’s new exclusive CPU plan, 2-core exclusive, monthly payment starts at $30

Linode recently launched a new Dedicated CPU solution series, which can exclusively use all allocated CPUs and run 100% at any time without any restrictions. As we all know, in order to control costs, VPS has restrictions on the use of CPU. However, ordinary merchants will not clearly write the CPU limit, but will directly shut down the system if it exceeds a certain level. After all, there are only a few businesses like Banwagonhost that directly write CPU limits in the TOS. Linode's new CPU-exclusive series of plans, the cheapest is $30/month, which is enough to show that CPU resources are actually relatively expensive resources among VPS resources.

Dedicated instances are optimized for workloads that require consistent performance or that require a full-time job (100% CPU, all day, every day). This includes build boxes, CI/CD, video encoding, machine learning, game servers, databases, data mining and busy application servers.

The underlying CPU resources of these instances are dedicated and shared with other instances. A dedicated Linode's vCPU threads are allocated exclusively to cores and SMT threads on the hypervisor and do not share or compete with other Linodes for these resources.

We think these plans are very competitive and we think these plans are great value.

Dedicated instances are available immediately in all regions. You can create a new dedicated Linode or repurpose an existing Linode to a dedicated plan. Please note that availability in Frankfurt and Atlanta has been reduced – but we will be installing hundreds of machines at all locations in the coming weeks.
