First take a look at the effect of my local ping, as shown below:

My local network is a telecommunications line, and I can see that the delay is about 339ms. This is very outrageous for a Hong Kong VPS. For a normal Hong Kong VPS, my local delay does not exceed 60ms. It is obvious that the network is not directly connected. There must be a network routing detour. Moreover, the network is also unstable. I have a local packet loss rate of about 3%.

Then let’s take a look at the delay effect of three-network Ping, as shown below:

Judging from the ping effects of the three networks, the latency of China Telecom and China Unicom is very high, 243ms and 309ms respectively, while the latency of the mobile network is relatively better, around 96ms.

Next, let’s take a look at the outbound routing lines of the three networks.

Telecom outbound route:

You can see that China Telecom's outbound route leaves from the Guangzhou network port, then goes to the United States and then to Hong Kong, so the delay is so high.

China Unicom outbound route:

You can see that China Unicom's outbound route leaves from the Guangzhou network port and then goes to Singapore and then to Hong Kong.

Mobile outbound route:

The mobile outbound route is directly connected, so the delay will be lower. In terms of configuration, Virtono's Hong Kong VPS is quite cost-effective. However, as tested previously, the network latency of China Telecom and China Unicom is a bit high, so it is not recommended. You can also try it on mobile networks.
