Vultr announces support for Power Struck Girls robotics team

When we first heard about an all-female robotics team using Vultr to focus on STEM learning, we had to get to know them better. Founded in 2015, The Power Struck Girls are a 36-person FIRST Robotics Competition team (FRC) from Notre Dame High School Academy in Marrero, Louisiana.

We found out they were starting to use Vultr for web hosting. The organization says it's important to stay connected with their school community and other FIRST teams - and their new website will allow them to do just that. To achieve this, they are running a WordPress installation with plugins for team management and cross-posting to social media. This will all be powered by a VM from Vultr with 4GB of RAM and 30GB of NVMe storage. The team told us that deploying a WordPress virtual machine image was much easier than they expected!
