NexusBytes’ UK VPS computer room is located in London. Users who need London VPS can pay attention. Below we will specifically evaluate NexusBytes UK VPS to see how it performs.
First look at the local Ping latency, as shown below:
You can see that my local Ping delay is about 199ms. This delay is still very good for a British VPS, but the packet loss rate is relatively serious, reaching a 26% packet loss rate.
Then let’s look at the national Ping latency, as shown below:
It can be seen that the average delay of Ping nationwide is about 275ms, among which China Unicom network delay is the lowest at about 223ms, followed by mobile network delay at about 258ms, and finally telecom line delay at about 293ms.
Next, let’s take a look at the national Ping latency test of the three networks to see how the effect is.
Telecom routing:
After the telecommunications route leaves the Guangzhou network port, it first reaches Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and then reaches the computer room in London, the UK.
China Unicom Route:
China Unicom takes the AS4837 route, which first leaves the Guangzhou network port, reaches Germany, France, and finally reaches the London computer room.
Mobile routing:
The mobile routing goes out directly from the Beijing network port and then directly connects to the London computer room.
Next let’s take a look at my local download speed, as shown below:
You can see that the download speed is very poor, basically only a few kb/second. Judging from the download speed in mainland China, it is very unsatisfactory.
Next let’s take a look at the specific price packages, as follows:
VPS-1G | 1G | 1 core | 15G | 1 + /64 | 1Gbps | 1T | $4/month | Link |
VPS-2G | 2G | 1 core | 30G | 1 + /64 | 1Gbps | 2T | $8/month | Link |
VPS-3G | 3G | 2 cores | 45G | 1 + /64 | 1Gbps | 3T | $12/month | Link |
VPS-4G | 4G | 4 cores | 60G | 1 + /64 | 1Gbps | 4T | $16/month | Link |
It is relatively cheap in terms of price, and it supports multiple versions of Linux and Windows operating systems at the same time.
Judging from our test above, the effect of access from mainland China is not ideal. Of course, if your access users are overseas, that is a different matter. For more information, please refer to London VPS recommendations.
