I found that many friends are asking which one of the two CN2 GIA is better, Banwagonhost or HostDare. In fact, I think these two companies are not of the same size at all, and it would be ridiculous to compare them together. No matter from any aspect, Banwagonhost definitely beats HostDare by several levels. Of course, some blogs have praised HostDare so much that some friends think that HostDare may be better. In fact, it is not the case. Today I will simply compare the performance, cost performance, line quality, reliability, etc. HostDare's CN2 GIA, I hope it will be helpful to everyone.

This article only represents my personal views and is for reference only.

1. Performance

In terms of machine performance, I personally own a lot of bricklayers. I happen to have one of HostDare’s CN2 GIA. As for performance, it’s just a matter of looking at UnixBench scores and CPU limits.

Let’s look at the CPU limit first. The CPU limit of Banwagonhost is clearly written in the ToS. Each plan has its own limit (CPU limit explained in detail in Banwagonhost VPS usage policy). As long as the limit is not exceeded, it is within the limit. No matter what you do, no one cares about you. I don’t know much about HostDare’s CPU limit yet, but friends who know it would like to inform you.

But from the perspective of UnixBench, Banwagonhost's UnixBench is generally over 1000 and can reach up to around 1500. However, I just ran HostDare's score in the early 1000s. It seems that the performance is comparable.

2. Cost-effectiveness

It’s not so much cost-effectiveness, but price? Because many friends think that the cheaper price is also more cost-effective. After all, it is cheap. Currently, the cheapest CN2 GIA plan among BandwagonHost’s regular plans is $65.99/half a year (BandwagonHost: online DC6 CN2 GIA datacenter, e-commerce optimization, enterprise-level link, 10Gbps ultra-large bandwidth, starting from $35.99/quarter), and the limited edition The price of the version plan starts from $49.99/year (cheap VPS recommendation: CN2 VPS, annual payment starts from $46.87, Alipay, WeChat payment), you can also use the discount code to get additional discounts.

The current price of HostDare’s CN2 GIA starts from $49.99/year, and you can also use the lifetime 25% off discount code (HostDare: Los Angeles CN2 GIA, Los Angeles CN2 GT plans are fully organized, with a lifetime 25% discount), but currently HostDare basically all None of the plans are in stock. It should really be out of stock. After all, the strength of small businesses is average.

From a cost-effective perspective, HostDare has a lower threshold, but its cost-effectiveness is average. I think the CN2 GIA entry-level plan for bricklayers at $119.99/year is the most cost-effective.

3. Line quality

The bricklayer’s CN2 GIA is that all three networks use CN2 GIA, that is, China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile all use CN2 GIA for the return journey to the exit node in mainland China, and then the routes in mainland China take their respective direct routes. Connect the router, which can ensure the speed during the evening peak period.

As for HostDare's CN2 GIA, currently only China Telecom uses CN2 GIA. China Unicom and China Mobile use their own direct connections, which have nothing to do with CN2 GIA. In this regard, it is not as good as the CN2 GIA for bricklayers (this is why I think the CN2 GIA for bricklayers is more cost-effective).

In addition, the bandwidth of Banwagonhost's CN2 GIA starts from 1Gbps, the bandwidth of DC6 CN2 GIA starts from 2.5Gbps, while the bandwidth of HostDare's CN2 GIA only starts from 80Mbps, and the maximum is 100Mbps. These are not the same order of magnitude. There's no way to compare it.

4. Reliability of merchants

This is also true that Banwagonhost is definitely bigger than HostDare. As long as you don’t do anything that violates their ToS, you can use Banwagonhost’s VPS however you want, and there will be no connection or network problems. Even if there are problems, they will usually be solved in about half an hour to an hour. After all, they provide 99.99% Online rate guaranteed.

HostDare's VPS does not have any SLA to speak of. In other words, if they want to shut down the server for you, they will shut it down for you, and if they want to disconnect your network, they will disconnect your network. Especially as I believe everyone knows a while ago, HostDare directly pulled the plug, causing heavy losses to the website’s friends on it. I can't imagine such a thing.

5. Conclusion

Don't talk, don't ask, asking is just to buy a bricklayer. HostDare can only be used as an alternative. Never put your website on HostDare’s VPS.
