What about Virmach? After several delays, Virmach finally officially launched AMD Ryzen and NVMe SSD series KVM virtual VPS. The official name is "Cloud Computing Linux VPS". • The IPv4 address of your service will be changed. This can be viewed on the service details page.
• If your service is currently in Buffalo or Piscataway, it will be moved to NYC Metro by default.

How to migrate/upgrade?

There are three migration options as described below.

Did not do anything. No action is required unless you prefer one of the options below. By default, we'll migrate your service as scheduled on Monday, and we'll migrate your existing data.

Choose a location and reserve your new IP. You can select any available location by navigating to your service details page and clicking on the available "Ryzen Migrate" button. Select your desired location and select "Have Data" to preserve your location and IP address. Then, on Monday, we'll move forward with that selection if it becomes available.

Act now, faster. You can also choose to migrate immediately without using the data if not required. Navigate to the service details page, click the "Ryzen Migrate" button, select the location marked with an asterisk, check the "Without Data" box, and confirm. Please note that if you choose this option, all data will be lost permanently.

• Estimated maintenance window is Monday, May 9, 2022 from 12:00 PM to midnight PST (Los Angeles time).

What if I don’t migrate?

• If the migration is not complete and your old service is still online, check the Network Status page for updates. Please do not contact us.
• If you want to move as quickly as possible and your data is not important, you can certainly continue with immediate option #3 above.

What precautions should I take?

• We always recommend that you back up your important data at all times. In this case, we ask that you take extra precautions to back up your important data in case something goes wrong. Also keep in mind that new Ryzen nodes are not currently set up with the best disaster recovery backups and they may experience some issues, although they should be more reliable in the long run than existing aging hardware.
