Install the latest stable version of qBittorrent under Ubuntu system

It should be noted that what is installed next is not the Ubuntu desktop version of qBittorrent, but the Webui version for server use.

First install the add-apt-repository command. If your server has already installed it, please skip it.

apt-get install software-properties-common

Then add the PPA source and choose according to the situation. If used for PT, please use the stable version.

# qBittorrent stable version

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stable

# qBittorrent beta

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-unstable

The last step is to install qBittorrent.

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install qbittorrent-nox

After the installation is complete, it starts.

sudo qbittorrent-nox

But this is not started in the background. Once you exit SSH, the program will also exit, so you need to use the screen command to create a session at this time.

Install screen first, skip if already installed.

apt-get install screen

Create a screen session

screen -S qb

Then run qBittorrent in this session.

After qBittorrent is started for the first time, the login address of Webui is IP:8080. The default account is admin and the password is adminadmin. It is recommended to modify it immediately after logging in.
