Anyone is eligible for our free tier program.

We try to ensure that our resources are helping real people solve real problems. To reduce the risk of automated bots, we collect information during the sign up process about you and your intended use. The more information you provide, the more certain we can be that you aren't a bot.

We don’t share our verification process, even when an account has not met the criteria.

What does “early access” mean and who gets the free instances?

This is a new program that we are developing, and it will be rolled out in phases. It will only be available in specific data center locations and will limited quantities available.

Since there is a limited quantity, eligible members will be granted access on a randomized / weighted basis.

What is the “weighted score”?

In the identity / usage validation process, we calculate a “score” for each account. This score influences the “weight” of each account and its likelihood of being admitted into the program. The more we understand about your intended purposes and technical needs, the higher your score gets in the “validation” process.

How long will the “early access” continue?

As we roll out the program, we will be adjusting and fine-tuning as we go. We have no hard dates at this point, but we're looking forward to helping you test and grow.< /p>

How will I know if I was admitted into the free tier program?

We will notify you by email as well as in the my.vultr.com console, and the free instance will become available on the deploy page.
