What is CN2 line
CN2 stands for China Telecom Next Carrier Network, abbreviated as CNCN in English, and further abbreviated as CN2.
What are the advantages of the CN2 line
CN2 was proposed as a "premium network project". Its technical structure is far ahead of Telecom's original network. The extremely advanced QOS ensures the smoothness of the network. For details, please refer to the reference. Of course, in addition to advanced technology, its expensive price and exclusivity to a large number of network resources are also important reasons. Ordinary home broadband users cannot use CN2 lines, and they may not be able to use them even if they pay several times the money. However, the price of VPS connected to the computer room of CN2 lines is much higher than that of other lines. There are fewer users, fewer servers, and more exclusive resources allocated, thus ensuring the smoothness of the CN2 line in most cases.

Comparison of three bearer networks
When it comes to CN2, we also have to mention the older generation 163 backbone network, and CN2 itself is divided into two types, so we will compare these three here:
Normal 163: It is the telecommunications line that telecommunications users most often encounter. It is the lowest level. Provincial/overseas/international backbone nodes all start with 202.97. There are no CN2 nodes starting with 59.43 in the whole process. On the outbound route, congestion occurs and the packet loss rate is high.
CN2 GT: It is a product of Global Transit in CN2 (also known as GIS-Global Internet Service). It has a low level in CN2. The provincial/overseas nodes start with 202.97, and the international backbone nodes have 2 to 4 CN2s that start with 59.43. node. The congestion level on outbound routes is average, slightly stronger than the 163 backbone network, and more cost-effective than CN2 GIA.
CN2 GIA: CN2 is a Global Internet Access product with the highest level. Provincial/overseas/international backbone nodes all start with 59.43, and there are no nodes starting with 202.97 in the whole process. It performs best on outbound routes, with few congestions, and is theoretically the fastest and most stable. Of course, the price is also higher than CN2 GT.
How to determine the line type
Normally, we use mtr or traceroute to determine the specific network bearer type by tracking the routing nodes of network packets. Below, let’s give a few examples:

Is CN2 VPS necessarily faster than ordinary VPS with 163 hosting network?
CN2 determines that the network quality will be better than the ordinary 163 bearer network, but it is not necessarily the case. One-way CN2 and two-way CN2
In addition to the two types of CN2 lines, when purchasing, you must also pay attention to whether CN2 is two-way or one-way. Bidirectional, as the name suggests, both the outbound routing node and the return routing node use the CN2 bearer network. As for the one-way CN2, it is generally the outbound CN2, and the return ordinary telecommunications line will be slightly slower than the two-way CN2 in terms of speed.
