News: digitalocean announces upcoming Indian data center

The latest news from digitalocean: digitalocean has planned to set up a new data center in Bangalore, a city in southern India. This will be digitalocean’s second data center in Asia and will probably go online sometime in the summer! I don’t know if I am happy or disappointed when I see this news?

Tomorrow morning, India Standard Time, our COO Karl will announce our newest datacenter region at SURGE conference in Bangalore, India’s central tech hub and the place where we plan to power up our next facility this summer.

Now the lines in Hong Kong and Singapore are not directly connected but are very detoured, and cannot be used normally at all! digitalocean currently has 11 datacenters, namely: 3 in New York [East Coast of the United States], 3 in Amsterdam [Netherlands], 1 in San Francisco [West Coast of the United States], 1 in Singapore [Asia], 1 in London [UK], and 1 in Frankfurt [Germany], 1 in Toronto [Canada]
