What’s new in HostHatch in 2023

HostHatch released some new features in 2023 in LET. The following is the original translation of the merchant:

I'm excited to share this with you as these features have been in development for some time. All of this is currently in beta access, so I'm opening this thread to ask you to share your feedback. Function 1: Snapshot This is one of the most popular features. Snapshots are now available in BETA access at: Asia Pacific: Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong EU: Amsterdam, Stockholm, London United States: Los Angeles, Chicago, New York The remaining locations should be completed within the next 4-6 weeks. If you have an active NVMe compute VM in any of these locations, you can now manually take a snapshot of the VM. You can then use it to restore it to your virtual machine, or use it to deploy a new virtual machine. Snapshots are currently limited to the location where they are created and cannot be moved between locations. This is something we will provide in the future. There is currently a global limit of 3 snapshots per account, and there is no charge for these snapshots. Once we are confident enough to move this content out of BETA, we will also offer and charge for a higher number of snapshots, automatically scheduled snapshots (backups). Function 2: Floating IP address Floating IPs are now available at all our locations. These are not yet available through the control panel, but you can request that any other IP address be converted to a floating IP address. It will then be available on all servers in the same location. These come at no additional cost (apart from the standard cost of additional IP addresses), and there are no plans to introduce any additional charges. Please open a ticket to request these if needed. Function three: BGP session We've completed the backend work required to automate BGP sessions. We still need some manual work to iron out over the next few months, and we're having internal discussions about how to price. I know this is LET and the most common answer would be free, but we can't do that. Pricing for this plan is as follows (thanks for your feedback): For our Standard plan, the cost is a $10 setup fee + no MRC. This fee will eventually be completely eliminated in the next 3-6 months, and BGP sessions will be completely free. For the promotional plan, the cost is $10 setup fee + $2.50 per month.
