Debian 12 "Bookworm" will be released next year, and Debian 11.3 released this weekend is the latest update in the "Bullseye" series. Debian 11.3 is the same as previous GNU/Linux point releases, only providing bug fixes and security updates. 11.3 brings security fixes to Apache's log4j to address a notorious vulnerability late last year and subsequent issues.
Debian 11.3 also comes with security fixes for ClamAV, FLAC, Glibc, Golang, XTerm, and various other packages – including addressing a denial of service vulnerability in NVIDIA drivers. Due to the recent disclosure of security vulnerabilities, the latest Intel CPU microcode updates are also included.
Debian 11.3 also includes a newer Linux 5.10 point release, updated deb installation documentation, and other maintenance updates.
