The advantage of transfer is that it is very fast from server to server, and from mainland China to mainland China, so it will speed up your SS access speed and reduce packet loss. It is suitable for gamers but not for video players.

Record the process of transferring to SS next time in Windows, just to prevent forgetting. There are too many tutorials for Linux, so I made it for Windows (I won’t tell you the real reason is because the cheating Huawei Cloud cannot change the operating system) to make it easier for Windows users to use it.

It should be noted that the American vps host that needs to be transferred is 123.123.123.123, and the port of the SS server of the changed host is 443.

Here we forward port 8388 of mainland China vps to port 443 of US vps. Remember that the security group and firewall of mainland China vps must open the corresponding ports first. If not, please Baidu yourself.

First, you need to find the intranet IP of your VPS in mainland China, not your public IP. Run the following command in the command prompt to find your intranet IP. If you don’t know what the command prompt is, please use Baidu.

ipconfig

The result probably looks like this:

Record your IP address, assuming it is 192.168.0.100

Windows port forwarding comes with Windows and does not require the installation of any software. However, if it is an operating system of XP or 2003, you need to install additional IPv6 support. Please run the following command to install IPv6.

netsh interface ipv6 install

If you are win7 or 2008 or above, you do not need to install IPv6 support. Just run the following command.

netsh interface portproxy add v4tov4 listenaddress=192.168.0.100 listenport=8388 connectaddress=123.123.123.123 connectport=443

At this point, the forwarding has been completed. When you use port 8388 to connect to the public IP of your VPS in mainland China, your VPS in mainland China will automatically forward the link to port 443 of your US VPS.

When you connect to the SS service of your American vps, you can connect directly as before. If you need to transit in mainland China, then change the IP to the public IP of your VPS in mainland China, and the server port to 8388. Leave everything else unchanged. .
