Log in to VPS using xshell

• • The newly installed xshell will automatically prompt you to add a session, click New

• Fill in the following data in the pop-up window in sequence. Some VPS merchants will not tell you the SSH port number, so the default is 22. For example, the backend of Bricklayer has a port number (SSH Port). Fill in the data and click "OK"

Name: This is the name of the session, just write it down casually to make it easy to remember

Protocol: Just use the default SSH

Host: This is the IP of your VPS

Port number: It is the port number of your VPS ssh port

Leave other fields blank and click OK to add successfully.

If you want to add multiple VPS links, click File - New, and then fill in the corresponding parameters according to the above method.

• Connect to space server through xshell

Click File-Open, in the session panel, select the session you want to link, and then click Connect

When you enter for the first time, the following prompt will appear, click Accept and Save

Next, you will be prompted to enter the ssh username. Enter root directly. This is the default username for any VPS or host. If there are other usernames, enter others.

• Then check the box next to Remember username and click OK. Next, you will be prompted to enter the root password. After copying the password, right-click in the box and paste it as plain text, and check Remember password, and then click OK.

Note: When entering root and password, remember to check both Remember Username and Remember Password to avoid having to re-enter them every time.

• If the following prompt appears in the xshell panel, it means the connection is successful. If the password is incorrect, check the password and enter the password manually if necessary.

• Now you have learned how to connect to the VPS. You can enter commands to manage the VPS and install software.
