The Hong Kong computer room of Shumai Technology often has promotional models released for activities. Today I would like to share with you the relevant information about the special Hong Kong independent servers of "Shuhost Technology-shuhost". This time, we will still focus on independent servers. Entrance for evaluation. What I got was a dual-channel e5 with 10M bandwidth + 32G memory + 240G SSD.

Official website: https://www.shuhost.com

Look at the basic configuration parameters: e5-2650, this is the first generation, 2.0G main frequency, I/O is approximately 336MB:

FIO test, looking at 4K, it seems reasonable:

The machine advertises a bandwidth of 10Mbps. After testing it on nodes in mainland China, we mainly looked at the uplink. It is basically close to 10Mbps, which is basically up to standard:

For countries or regions operating in Asia, the bandwidth is basically up to standard:

It’s no problem to travel to Europe and the United States:

The webmaster of the files stored on the test machine is Guangzhou Telecom, and the server has a bandwidth of 10Mbps. The download speed of the local Chrome browser is as follows, and it can generally run at full capacity:

Packet collection test results:

Unix bench single core (thread) data:

Multi-node (more than 120) tests in mainland China provided by ping.chinaz.com:

For the outbound journey from mainland China, China Telecom uses CN2, China Unicom uses backbone direct connection, and China Mobile uses CMI directly:

Return to Mainland China Telecom: Beijing direction takes Hong Kong Mobile directly to the mainland, Shanghai direction takes Hong Kong Unicom direct to the mainland, Guangzhou direction takes CN2 direct to the mainland,

Return to China Unicom: Take the Hong Kong HGC line

Return trip, moving to the mainland: direct transfer

To summarize: outbound China Telecom takes CN2, China Unicom direct, and China Mobile CMI. Return China Telecom is direct, China Unicom is all HGC (estimated to be stretched during the evening peak), and China Mobile is direct. Overall, there doesn’t seem to be much of a problem, but In fact, based on the experience of the webmaster, the effect of HGC may not be satisfactory, especially during the evening peak hours. You still have to run it for a period of time to find out the details. The webmaster is just testing it temporarily.
