bgp.to’s Japanese servers have two data centers in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan. Some people may ask what are the differences between Japanese servers in different computer rooms and which one is better? In order to answer this question, we have set up an independent server in a data center in Tokyo, Japan to do a simple evaluation for everyone. We will share the data obtained from the actual test for your own reference!

Mainly focusing on server business in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka), Singapore, Hong Kong (CN), and Los Angeles (US)!

Test machine configuration: e3-1230v3, 16G memory, 480G SSD, 20M bandwidth, roughly 431MB/S.

The results of the FIO test are also very good:

Speedtest China mainland node test, the uplink bandwidth is generally a little more than 19Mbps, and the downlink bandwidth seems to be a maximum of 100Mbps, which is much more than the official setting of 20Mbps:

speedtest conducted node tests in countries and some regions in Asia. Although the overall effect is not as good as that in mainland China, it seems that the bandwidth is still 20Mbps:

The iperf3 test results show that the effect is still good:

The webmaster is Guangzhou Telecom. The data file on the personal computer Chrome is browsed and downloaded on the test machine. The download speed is about 1972KB. Compared with 20Mbps, this should be enough, but it is a bit of a loss:

Unix bench Mark, there is nothing to say about this. Anyway, you play with the machine by yourself and have it exclusively:

ping.chinaz.com provides more than 80 nodes in mainland China. The test data is as follows:

On the way out, China Telecom took SoftBank and ended up at inap’s Japanese computer room:

China Unicom also went through SoftBank:

For the outbound journey of China Mobile, it’s the usual routine. China Mobile’s exclusive Guangdong export is connected to CMI, and then connected to SoftBank:

Return to China Telecom: The return node information is hidden, but judging from the delay, there is no detour

Return to China Unicom: SoftBank from Beijing, NTT from Shanghai, KDDI from Guangzhou

Return to mainland China: take NTT in the direction of Beijing, take KDDI in the direction of Shanghai to Hong Kong and then return to the mainland, take NTT in the direction of Guangzhou
