bgpto: Simple evaluation of independent servers in Singapore data center, sharing actual measurement data

Singapore is strategically located and connects Southeast Asia with unobstructed links. Many large computer rooms and large cloud server manufacturers choose Singapore as their branch in order to develop their business in Asia. This time I bring you the Singapore server evaluation of bgp.to. In line with the principle that everyone will benefit from my trip, I got a Singapore machine. The actual measurement data is for reference only!

Mainly focusing on server business in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka), Singapore, Hong Kong (CN), and Los Angeles (US)!

Test machine, CPU is e3-1230v3, 16G memory, 480G SSD, 10M bandwidth, hard disk I/O is approximately 432MB:

FIO test, focusing on 4K reading and writing:

For speedtest.net’s nodes in China, the uplink bandwidth test is roughly 20Mbps, and the downlink bandwidth seems to be 100Mbps. This seems to be somewhat different from the official 10Mbps? O(∩_∩)O haha~

It’s still speedtest, other nodes in Asia tested this time:

iperf3 test, it seems that the uplink is still 20Mbps, and the downlink is 100Mbps;

Guangzhou Telecom, the webmaster's personal computer Chrome downloaded the data file on the test machine, 1954KB per second, this should be the effect of 20Mbps bandwidth, right?

Exclusive to the server, just take a look at the Unix bench mark. It doesn’t make much sense. No one will compete with you:

On the return trip, during the test, I found that the routes of China Telecom and China Unicom were hidden. For China Mobile, take the Telstra line to Hong Kong Mobile, and then return to the mainland:

Overall: No matter whether you are going or returning, you are transiting through Hong Kong, which works well for the mainland.
