Totyun's VPS in Hong Kong computer room is divided into CN2 (officially labeled "Premium China") and GIA. This is different from what everyone usually understands. The GIA here is not CN2 GIA, but an international line. Maybe you are confused. In order to distinguish, you can take a look at the CN2 line evaluation we wrote before "totyun: Hong Kong computer room CN2 line VPS evaluation, triple network return CN2, it should be quite good for building a website", and then I will give you Share the evaluation data of GIA lines for reference only!

VPS, Global (international bandwidth)
Memory | CPU | Hard disk | Bandwidth | Price | Purchase |
2G | 2 cores | 70G | 20Mbps | $6/month | Link |
4G | 4 cores | 70G | 20Mbps | $13/month | Link |
8G | 8 cores | 140G | 50Mbps | $29/month | Link |
16G | 16 cores | 140G | 50Mbps | $39/month | Link |
After getting the VPS, the CPU is e5-2680, clocked at 2.4GHz. Let’s turn on BBR first. The hard disk I/O is approximately 481MB/s:
Look at FIO’s test:
The webmaster opened a high-end configuration, that is, 50M bandwidth. We used the China node of speedtest.net to test the upstream and downstream bandwidth of the VPS network.
In the evening peak test, China Telecom’s uplink and downlink were simply terrible; China Unicom and China Mobile could basically run at full capacity:
During the leisure time during the day, the three networks are basically close to full capacity. When we compare the previous evening peak hours, we will find that the gap in telecommunications is still too big:
Speedtest tested other nodes in Asia, and the 50M bandwidth can be fully run:
The results of iperf3 testing in Europe and the United States are also very good
The webmaster is Guangzhou Telecom, testing test files stored on VPS, 177K/S during the day:
Evening peak 69K/s:
Test data of 80 nodes in mainland China provided by ping.chinaz.com:
On the outbound journey via Telecom, take NTT to bypass Japan and return to Hong Kong:
China Unicom, direct connection to backbone network:
Move, take your own CMI:
Return to Mainland China Telecom: Beijing and Shanghai, the return journey is also NTT via Japan; direct connection to Guangzhou
Return to China Unicom: NTT detours to Japan
Return, move to the mainland: direct connection back
To summarize:
Telecom's outbound journey will go around Japan via NTT, while the return journey will still go around Japan via NTT;
China Unicom's outbound journey is a direct backbone connection, and its return journey is via NTT via Japan;
The outbound mobile journey is via CMI via Japan's NTT, and the return journey is direct connection;
Roughly speaking, this GIA version of VPS may be very unsuitable for telecom users. The effect of China Unicom should be OK, and China Mobile can barely do it
