w3dhost seems to be a new brand that was created not long ago and is operated by Chinese Americans (disclosure: it is actually a new brand created by members of an old IDC operation team in the United States after the business was sold). The current business is mainly VPS connected to the AS9929 network optimized for mainland China, and independent server business optimized for Asia (including independent server rental and equipment hosting).

The following is my first attempt to share with you the latest evaluation data. It is for reference only and may also be suitable for you!
The test uses a VPS with 4G memory, 4 cores, and 1Gbps bandwidth. The CPU is e5-2620. BBR is turned on. The hard disk I/O is about 560M/S. You can see that the AS is layerhost:
FIO tests hard disk read and write, the data is as follows:
No matter what network it is, we require actual usage results and fast speed in mainland China. Use speedtest.net to test the three network nodes in mainland China to see how far the network of different nodes in the three networks can run. The data is as follows:
For the Internet in mainland China, the difference between the evening peak period and the leisure time during the day is very big. Naturally, we need to compare the data of the evening peak period, which is roughly as follows:
Testing status of other nodes in Asia:
The effect of iperf3 test running European and American nodes is as follows:
For files stored on the test VPS, Guangzhou Telecom used Chrome to directly download the speed test. The speed during the day:
Speeds during the evening rush hour are as follows:
Let’s take a look at the outbound route!
For the outbound journey of Telecom, Telecom transfers to China Unicom backbone and then transfers to AS9929 and then international AS10099 to the United States:
For China Unicom's outbound journey, take AS9929 after the backbone network and then AS10099 international section to the United States:
Moving outbound, CMI is followed by PCCW to the United States:
Return to China Telecom: Take the China Unicom International AS10099 link directly from the computer room, then connect to China Unicom AS9929, and then China Telecom
Return to China Unicom: come out of the computer room and directly connect to China Unicom International AS10099, then AS9929 and then AS4837 to mainland China
Return to China Mobile: After leaving the computer room, take China Unicom International AS10099, then AS9929, then AS4837, transfer to China Mobile
Let’s roughly test streaming media:
A rough test of the fourth version of geekbench, just take a quick look:
Unix bench Mark:
A rough summary:
Because the IP has banned PING, we have no way to check the delay;
For the outbound journey, China Telecom and China Unicom both use China Unicom's AS9929 link, while China Mobile uses CMI to connect to pccw (a bit of a stretch);
For the return trip, the three networks are forced to use the Unicom AS9929 standard routing form, which ensures the return speed of the three networks. This is the core of why mainland China will not be slow! China Unicom's AS9929 high-end product is also directly comparable to CN2 GIA. If you don't want to squeeze the pitiful CN2 GIA network with everyone, trying w3d-usa's China Unicom AS9929 high-end network VPS is also a good choice!
