nexusbytes has deployed data centers in Japan and Singapore in Asia, and they are all high-performance servers based on AMD platforms. We have tested a VPS in a Japanese computer room before. Let me share with you the actual situation of a Singapore VPS. The specific evaluation data are as follows, for reference only!

Official website: https://nexusbytes.com

Tips: There is no official dedicated Singapore VPS. Japan, Singapore, and Australia in the Asia-Pacific are all merged together, called "APAC Ryzen NVME KVM VPS". You can just choose a different computer room when placing an order.

Judging from the chicken I got, the CPU is AMD RYZEN 9 3900X, with a main frequency of 3.8GHz (turbo frequency 4.6GHz), BBR turned on, and the hard disk I/O is roughly 926MB/S:

The detailed data of fio testing hard disk read and write are as follows:

The default access is 1Gbps bandwidth. Use speedtest.net directly to test the uplink and downlink speed of the network at different nodes of the three networks in mainland China. Let's first look at the data during the day:

Compare the data during the evening peak period:

The test data of other nodes in Asia are as follows:

The test results of running iperf3 on European and American nodes are as follows:

The files stored on the test VPS, Guangzhou Telecom, can be downloaded directly from the Chrome browser to see the speed:

Then compare the speed during the evening peak period, which decreases to one-third of the daytime speed:

The latency test data of more than 80 nodes in mainland China are as follows:

The outbound telecom trip took NTT and detoured through Japan. It seemed that it ended up at the Singapore data center of CDN77:

China Unicom’s outbound journey also took NTT, detouring through Japan:

Mobile outbound, take CMI Hong Kong direct connection:

Return to China Telecom:

In the direction of Beijing and Shanghai, take NTT and connect directly to China Telecom’s Singapore node;

In the direction of Guangzhou, take Tata to bypass the United States and then return to China;

Return to China Unicom: take cogentco to bypass the United States and then take AS4837 back to China

Return to mobile in mainland China: take cogentco to bypass the United States and then come back directly at the mobile node in San Jose or Los Angeles

Roughly test streaming media unlocking, the results are as follows:

Some test data on performance:

A rough summary:

In terms of network, China Telecom and China Unicom use NTT to bypass Japan. Although China Mobile has passed Hong Kong CMI, the delay is also quite high;

For the return journey, all three networks bypassed the United States; in other words, it is actually better to just buy an American VPS.

In terms of performance, the AMD series of CPUs are indeed powerful, the NVMe hard drive is also awesome, and the performance is quite satisfactory.
