profitserver, a Russian company, operates VPS in multiple data centers. Here we will test the actual use of VPS in the computer room in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I hope it will help those who want to buy Dutch VPS, anti-complaint, unlimited traffic, etc. A simple reference for Big Brothers. Although it is actual measured data, I still remind you: for reference only!

The main frequency of the CPU is approximately 2.6GHz, with BBR turned on, and the hard disk I/O is approximately 308MB/S:

FIO test, detailed read and write data for the hard disk are as follows:

The traffic is not limited and the bandwidth is not written. Let’s try it through speedtest.net to see the highest upstream and downstream data that can be achieved:

The data during the evening peak period are as follows. Compare them with the daytime data above:

Test results of nodes in other regions of Asia:

iperf3 test data for European and American nodes:

For files stored on the test VPS, the actual download speed measured by Guangzhou Telecom using Chrome is as follows:

In the evening peak data, the attenuation is quite obvious:

The latency test results of 80 multi-nodes in mainland China are as follows:

Telecommunications outbound journey: Telecom backbone docking with telia directly to the Netherlands

For China Unicom’s outbound journey, take telia:

Move the outbound journey and connect to level3 after CMI:

Return to Mainland China Telecom: Return directly to China from the AMS-IX Internet Data Exchange Center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Return to China Unicom:

For Beijing, take cogentco from the Netherlands to Germany and then take AS4837 back to China;

In the direction of Shanghai/Guangzhou, take the tisparkle from the Netherlands to the Los Angeles node of America Unicom, and then directly connect back to China via AS4837;

Return, move to mainland China:

In the direction of Beijing/Shanghai, take level3/telia to the German mobile node, and then connect directly back;

For Guangzhou, take Telia to the UK, and then take Mobile International AS9808 back;

Unix bench Mark score:

In summary:

The outbound journeys really have no special features. They are all the most common international networks, either telia or level3;

For the return trip, China Telecom is directly connected to China. China Unicom is basically AS4837 or it is AS4837 after detouring to the United States. China Mobile is directly connected to China;

The network as a whole will be affected by fluctuations in the backbone network, especially during evening peak hours. Overall, it doesn't have much of a feature, but in terms of backhaul, it's relatively straight forward among conventional networks...
