Aoyoyun (aoyohost, Maxthon Cloud, Maxthon Host), established in 2010, should be familiar to many people in mainland China. It focuses on overseas cloud server business, all of which are network optimized for mainland China. This time, I will give you a brief evaluation of the VPS in the Kr computer room in Los Angeles, USA, which is connected to China Unicom's as9929 high-end network. The actual measured data is compared early and late, for your reference only!

Los Angeles Kr – AS9929 network, configuration sheet:

Memory CPU SSD Traffic Bandwidth Price Purchase
1G 1 core 20G 600G/month 200M 48 yuan/month Link
2G 2 cores 40G 800G/month 200M 68 yuan/month Link
4G 2 cores 50G 1.2T/month 300M 128 yuan/month Link
8G 4 cores 80G 1.5T/month 300M 248 yuan/month Link

The webmaster bought one himself, with a CPU clocked at 2.5GHz (guess it might be e5-2670v2\2678v3\2680v3 or others). The webmaster turned on BBR, and the hard disk I/O was about 210MB/S:

The complete hard disk read and write test data is as follows:

The test selected the lowest configuration VPS, the default bandwidth is 200Mbps, we used the speedtest.net node to test how far the uplink and downlink bandwidth can reach in mainland China:

Compare the situation of this high-end AS9929 during the evening peak (when the backbone network in mainland China is exploding):

Test results of nodes in the rest of Asia:

The test data for European and American nodes are as follows:

Guangzhou Telecom used the Chrome browser to directly download the files stored on the test VPS to measure the speed. Let’s see how far it can actually run locally:

The download speed during the evening peak period is reduced by one-third compared to that during the day, but it is still excellent:

180 nodes around the world to test the latency of this IP:

For the outbound journey, China Telecom takes CN2:

For the outbound journey, China Unicom uses AS9929:

Move, outbound CMI:

On the return trip, to China Telecom: all are forced to take AS9929 back

On the return trip to China Unicom: all are forced to take AS9929 to return

Return, moving to mainland China: all are forced to take AS9929 to return

Chick performance test:

Unix bench Mark:

Streaming media unlock test, you can watch a lot of things:

Looking at it alone, you can unlock TikTok:

A rough summary:

On the outbound journey, China Telecom CN2, China Unicom AS9929, and China Mobile CMI are already in the best condition in mainland China;

Backhaul, all three networks require high-end AS9929 returnhaul, and the speed is guaranteed;

From the uplink and downlink tests in mainland China, comparing the morning and evening peaks, the bandwidth is still quite sufficient and can basically be used at full capacity.

In general, the performance is good, the network is strong, and you can watch some streaming media, which is quite awesome!
