hncloud Hong Kong Computer Room has added a new series of "Hong Kong Large Bandwidth Servers" based on the original CN2 server, with a minimum bandwidth of 50M (unlimited traffic) and a maximum bandwidth of 1000M with no limit on traffic. It has been specially optimized for the mainland. . So how effective is this Hong Kong high-bandwidth server? We got one and did a simple evaluation, so you can judge based on the data!

I built a single-channel e5-2660, 16G memory, 500G SSD, 50M bandwidth server for testing. The IP belongs to hncloud's own AS, and the hard disk I/O is approximately 311MB/S:
FIO tests the read and write status of the hard disk in detail:
We use speedtest.net nodes to test how much bandwidth the server can run. The first one defaults to the nearest node, which basically runs at 50Mbps, and the rest are China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile nodes, especially The upload speed we need is basically full:
Make a simple comparison of the evening peak hours and look at the data:
Test results of other nodes in Asia:
Test data of iperf3 running on European and American nodes:
Download files stored on the server directly using the Chrome browser to check the download speed:
Look at the download speed during the evening peak period:
Latency tracking data for more than 160 nodes outside mainland China:
For the outgoing China Telecom journey, take CN2 and then connect to Hong Kong pccw:
For China Unicom's outbound journey, the backbone network connects to Telecom CN2 and then to Hong Kong pccw:
Mobile outbound, mobile CMI direct connection:
Return to Mainland China Telecom: Directly connect from Hong Kong Mobile back to Mainland China Mobile and then transfer to China Telecom
Return to Mainland China Unicom: Same as the previous model, from China Mobile Hong Kong node back to China Mobile and then transfer to China Unicom
Return, move to the Mainland: Hong Kong mobile nodes are directly connected to the Mainland
Streaming media test, please check it out for yourself, there is no guarantee that this will definitely be the case:
Performance test:
To summarize:
On the outbound journey, China Telecom and China Unicom were forced to take CN2 to Hong Kong pccw, and China Mobile took its own CMI direct connection;
For the return trip, the three networks force one mode, all connecting directly from China Mobile Hong Kong node to Mainland China Mobile, and then to their respective lines in the Mainland.
From a network perspective, this large-bandwidth mode is currently quite acceptable. The bandwidth can reach up to 1Gbps. You can judge based on your own needs!
