vultr has many data centers in Europe, including Sweden, which provides Swedish cloud servers with 10Gbps bandwidth. Although Sweden is a big-assed country, it ranks fifth in terms of land area in Europe, so it is naturally impossible to ignore it. So what is the situation of the cloud server in Vultr's Swedish computer room? This article leads everyone to observe the evaluation data of Swedish cloud servers, which is for reference only.

According to the official statement, it is speculated that the CPU should be one of the three AMD EPYC™ 7702, 7702P, and 7662 models. The main frequency is 2GHz. The webmaster has enabled BBR. VULTR’s IP is the broadcast IP under its parent company’s AS. The current hard disk I/O is approximately 293MB/S.

FIO detailed test of hard disk reading and writing data:

Use the speedtest.net node to do a test and see how much uplink and downlink bandwidth can be achieved. The first node is the nearest node. We see that the uplink is 4364Mbps. We see that the downlink of nodes in mainland China also reaches 2673Mbps:

At another time, during the evening peak period, we ran it again and found that the maximum downstream bandwidth reached 8947Mbps. It is roughly estimated that the bandwidth is at least 10Gbps:

Continue speedtest and run the nodes in Asia. The approximate results are:

iperf3 runs data on some European and American nodes:

The file stored on Test Chicken, Guangzhou Telecom, download it directly with Chrome and check the speed:

Compare the download speed data during the evening peak period:

Latency test data of more than 100 nodes, mainly nodes in mainland China:

On the outbound telecommunications journey, the backbone network connected to NTT bypassed the United States, crossing from the west coast to the east coast and then to Europe:

China Unicom's outbound journey: backbone network connected to the original telia line

Move the outbound journey, take the international CMI and then connect to pccw to Europe:

Return to China Telecom: Take PCCW from Europe to the East Coast of the United States, then to the West Coast, and then take Telecom's nodes on the West Coast in San Jose or Los Angeles to connect directly back

Return to China Unicom:

Beijing direction: take telia to connect to China Unicom AS4837

Shanghai direction: Take GTT to connect to China Unicom AS4837

Guangzhou direction: take telia to connect to Deutsche Unicom AS4837

Return, move to mainland China:

Take Telia to the East Coast of the United States, then to the West Coast, and take Mobile's node on the West Coast of the United States to directly connect back

Streaming media TIKTOK unlock test: NO

Cross-region streaming media unlock detection:

European streaming media unblocking detection:

A little performance test data:

In summary:

In terms of performance, overall it is acceptable;

On the backhaul of the network, China Telecom and China Mobile are directly connected from Europe to the United States, and across the United States to the West Coast nodes. China Unicom uses all international routes, which is slightly worse. The network as a whole is not ideal for mainland Chinese users!
