What about vultr? How about vultr cloud server? How about the vultr Dallas computer room? Some novices may have never used vultr and want to know about vultr. Here I will test vultr’s cloud server in the Dallas data center in the middle of the United States. The approximate data can be found in this article for reference only!

I opened a cloud server with the lowest configuration on the AMD platform as an evaluation chick. What you can see is that the CPU is the AMD EPYC-Rome series, with a main frequency of roughly 2.0GHz. The webmaster turned on BBR and VULTR. For our own broadcast IP, the current hard disk I/O is roughly 571MB/S:
FIO direct test may be relatively accurate, continue to look at the data:
We want to see how much uplink and downlink bandwidth the chicken can run. Here we use the different nodes of the three networks in mainland China from speedtest.net. It is especially important to note that the first node is the nearest node (overseas): p>
The effects vary greatly between day and night. We also tested it once during the evening peak when the backbone network exploded, as follows:
Targeted testing of the data effects of nodes in Asia:
Use iperf3 to run several nodes in Europe and the United States to see the approximate data:
Save a file on the test chicken. We download it directly from the browser in Guangzhou Telecom in mainland China to see how fast it is? Approximate download speed during broad daylight:
It is necessary to compare the situation during the evening rush hour. The speed is roughly as follows:
Many people like to look at latency, latency monitoring data of multiple nodes in mainland China:
Telecom outbound, backbone network docking with NTT:
For China Unicom's outbound journey, the backbone network connects to twinve99 directly to Dallas:
Mobile outbound, docking with PCCW after international CMI:
Return to China Telecom:
Beijing/Guangzhou direction: take Pccw to Miami, then transfer to Telecom’s Miami node and directly connect to Telecom’s Los Angeles node and directly connect back
Shanghai direction: Leave the computer room and take level 3 to San Jose, then connect to the backbone network and return home
Return to China Unicom: directly return to China from China Unicom and level 3 peers in San Jose or Los Angeles
Return, move to mainland China:
Beijing/Shanghai direction: take Telia to Los Angeles, and then return home via China Mobile's direct connection with Telia's peer in Los Angeles
Guangzhou: Take Telia to Seattle, and then return home via China Mobile’s direct connection with Telia’s peer in Seattle
Tiktok streaming media unlock test: no chance
Cross-regional streaming platform unlock test:
Some North American streaming media unlocking test results:
Some parameter benchmark data in terms of performance:
A rough summary:
Performance is indeed very strong, as can be seen from I/O, CPU running scores, etc.;
As for the network, this was the last thing the webmaster expected. I didn’t expect that the Dallas data center would basically be directly connected to the three networks from the west coast of the United States back to China. It was beyond expectations and so unexpected. If you feel the West Coast is crowded, try Dallas, it may be surprisingly good!
