How about v.ps? v.ps How about San Jose? According to everyone’s feedback, China Telecom uses CN2 GIA and China Unicom uses CUII (AS9929). This is a VPS with dual VIP lines. Since the price is not expensive, and there is also a mini version (the wiring is exactly the same, but the configuration is different), I got one for everyone and wrote a simple review. The data is for reference only.

VPS features:
KVM virtualization, SSD RAID10 array, 1Gbps bandwidth, comes with an IPv4, traffic can be purchased by DIY
Memory | CPU | SSD | Traffic | Price | Purchase |
1G | 1 core | 20G | 1T/month | €17.95/season | Link |
2G | 2 cores | 30G | 1T/month | €22.95/season | Link |
4G | 4 cores | 40G | 1T/month | €28.95/season | Link |
8G | 8 cores | 40G | 1T/month | €56.95/season | Link |
The CPU currently used is Xeon Gold 6148 (2.4GHz frequency), BBR and XTOM AS are enabled, and the current hard disk I/O is approximately 778MB/s:
FIO once again ran the read and write status of the hard disk in detail:
Since we bought the mini version, the configuration is different from the cloud version. We can see that the bandwidth is roughly 500Mbps through different node tests on speedtest.net. The following is the uplink and downlink test of multiple nodes of the three networks in mainland China. Data:
When the backbone network explodes during the evening peak, ordinary direct connections and international lines will also explode. This is the time for high-end lines to realize their value:
Let’s see how far the international nodes can run:
Let’s take a look at the test data of countries or regions in Asia:
iperf3 runs several nodes with European and American 10G ports and takes a look at the test data:
It is still an iperf3 test, but this is in an IPv6 environment:
File stored on Test Chicken, Guangzhou Telecom, direct browser download:
During the evening peak period, continue to look at the download speed. Pay attention to comparing it during the day. The difference is not big, right?
Evening peak, Hubei Shiyan Telecom, download speed:
Evening rush hour, Sichuan Chengdu China Unicom, download speed:
Latency monitoring data of multiple nodes of the three networks in mainland China:
For the outbound journey of China Telecom, take the CN2 line:
For the outbound journey from China Unicom, use China Unicom CU2 (AS9929):
Mobile outbound and take CMI directly to the United States:
Telecom’s return trip is via CN2 GIA:
China Unicom’s return trip is via CU2 (AS9929):
Mobile return, CMI direct return to China:
Cross-regional streaming media unlocking test:
Some streaming media unlocking tests in North America:
VPS performance test, partial data results:
A rough summary:
The current performance is quite strong, and the CPU and hard disk I/O are quite reliable;
Network, China Telecom's round trip is CN2, China Unicom's round trip is CU2, China Mobile's round trip is CMI. Both China Telecom and China Unicom use high-end lines, which is not a problem at all; China Mobile uses its own CMI direct connection, but it is still quite different from the previous CN2 GIA and CUII during the evening peak period. In other words, this VPS is much better for China Telecom and China Unicom users than mobile users...
