It seems that monthly payment is still the way to go, although it is a bit more expensive. Previously, this company's phones were still available at discounted prices, but now they are discontinued, alas.

Original text: It’s with a heavy heart that I have to announce that we will be closing our Singapore and Tokyo locations effective 10th March 2016.

The reasons for this are two fold.

If you get any further invoices for your VPS at this location please do not pay for it. For those that have pre-paid annually or biennially we will issue pro-rated refunds.

Please ensure any data you or services you have have are removed from your mahcines because it will be gone (including our backups) on the 10th of March 2016.
