Hosteons has moved from the original dedipath in September 2023, and all servers have been transferred to the new computer room. Naturally, some people will pay attention to the situation of the new computer room, such as how is the network? Is it suitable for use in the three-network environment of mainland China? How is the performance? Can I run my own projects? This post will bring an evaluation of the VPS on the AMD platform of hosteons' Los Angeles computer room. The data is for reference only!

The CPU model has been replaced by AMD Ryzen 9 5950X (16 cores, 32 threads, main frequency 3.4GHz, acceleration frequency 4.9GHz), its own ASN, BBR enabled, located in Los Angeles, and the current I/O is approximately 1501MB/ S looks like:
The approximate reading and writing data of FIO test is as follows:
Speedtest directly tests a wave of uplink and downlink on the three network nodes in mainland China to see how much it can run, right? Approximate test results:
We will test again when the backbone network explodes during the evening peak (note that the time EDT is 12 hours different from China time CST, which is around 22:20 in the evening in China). The approximate data is as follows:
speedtest test results of some international nodes:

iperf3 tests the data of several European and American nodes:
For files stored on the test vps, the download speed of Guangzhou Unicom’s home broadband is as follows:
Continue to look at the download speed during the evening peak:
Evening peak, Hubei Shiyan Telecom, download speed:
Evening peak, Sichuan Meishan China Unicom, download speed:
The delay test data of multi-nodes of three networks in mainland China are as follows:
Outbound journey from China Telecom: Directly connect to China Telecom’s Los Angeles node, and then use HE.NET to connect the cogent to the computer room
Outbound journey to China Unicom: directly connect to China Unicom’s Los Angeles node, and then use HE.NET to go to the computer room
Mobile outbound journey: Directly connect to Mobile Los Angeles node, then go to he.net and transfer to twelve99 to pick up cogent and go to the computer room
Telecom return trip: take GTT to San Jose, and directly connect back to China from Telecom’s San Jose/Los Angeles node
China Unicom return trip:
Beijing direction: take Zayo, then connect Zayo and China Unicom’s pop in Los Angeles directly to return home
Share in Shanghai: Take HE.NET, connect China Unicom and he.net’s pop-up in Los Angeles and directly connect back to China
Guangzhou direction: Take GTT to San Jose, then return to Los Angeles, and directly connect back to China from China Unicom’s Los Angeles node
Mobile return:
Beijing direction: use zayo to connect to the mobile Los Angeles node and directly connect back to China
Shanghai direction: Shanghai direction: take the cogent to the review competition, and directly connect back to China from the mobile San Jose node
Guangzhou direction: take he.net to Portland and then to Seattle, and return directly from the mobile Seattle node

VPS performance test, the data is very impressive:
A rough summary:
I/O exceeds 1500MB/S, and the CPU single-core running score exceeds 2600. This can only be described as niubility;
In terms of network, the backhaul of the three networks is basically directly connected from their own node on the West Coast of the United States, or directly connected back to China from the pop-up point of the three networks and the local operator. Overall, the return journey is quite good and worth trying. Give it a try!
Everyone has also seen that during the test, the bandwidth of the VPS was no longer 1Gbps, but 10Gbps...
