The configuration is done. In fact, such an operation can only upgrade the memory, and the hard disk is not expanded to the new solution. There just happened to be a Linode that needed to be upgraded from the 1GB memory solution to the 2GB solution. Of course, the entire upgrade method was recorded for future reference. First, upgrade preparations
Before we upgrade the VPS, it is necessary to do a good backup job. Generally there is no problem. This upgrade is a smooth upgrade and will not affect the data and environment in our system, but in order to avoid any unexpected events, it is best for us Back up the website. After the backup is completed, we need to SHUT DOWN the current VPS.
Second, Resize chooses the upgrade plan
Enter the current VPS plan, click the RESIZE link in the menu, and select the plan that needs to be upgraded. Because I started to forget to take screenshots in the picture above, the current plan I see is the 2GB plan. Logically speaking, the current plan should be 1GB. Plan, we choose the 2GB plan which is the plan that needs to be upgraded. Then perform the upgrade. We need to wait for a while for the upgrade and copy to be completed, which may take a few minutes.
Third, adjust the hard disk size
After executing the second step, our memory has reached the latest solution, but the hard disk is still the original. We need to adjust the hard disk and add the extra hard disk.
We see the picture above in the panel, click EDIT, and prepare to adjust the hard disk.
We can see that there are 24GB free. We can add the total into the NEW SIZE text box and click SAVE CHANGES to save. Then we wait for the execution to complete, which takes a few minutes.
Final and finishing work
Finally, we BOOT, then check whether the website and environment are normal, and then we go to SSH to see if the hard disk and memory are the latest solutions. If there are no problems, we will call it a day.
Similarly, if we need to downgrade the Linode VPS hosting plan, we need to do it in reverse, because the current hard disk is a large memory plan, we need to downgrade the hard disk first, and then operate the memory downgrade package.

When modifying the hard disk storage, it should be slightly consistent with the current size that needs to be replaced. For example, 24GB is the 1GB plan I need to switch to, and I will probably set it to 24000MB
After saving, wait for the system to run the translation transition. This process will take a few minutes, and we will wait.
Third, Resize reduction plan
After execution, we wait for a few minutes for execution, and only after completion can we finally execute the boot.
