Compile and install Geo separately on CentOS system

Snail has previously tossed the GoAccess log analysis tool (installation method), and before installing the tool, you need to use the installation support library, which requires Geo-IP, which is mainly used to analyze the countries and regions among log users. . Generally speaking, direct yum installation is possible, but some default systems do not have Geo-IP library files, so we need to compile and install them separately, otherwise the log analysis will be incomplete.

First, download the required files

cd /usr/local/srcwget http://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/api/c/GeoIP-1.4.6.tar.gzwget http://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip /database/GeoLiteCountry/GeoIP.dat.gz

Second, decompress, compile and install

tar xzvf GeoIP-1.4.6.tar.gzcd GeoIP-1.4.6./configure && make && make installmv GeoIP.dat.gz /usr/local/share/GeoIP/
