Solution to the problem of "no free sectors available" when creating a partition on Brickworker VPS

A few days ago, when I was creating partitions for the Banwagonhost VPS, I got an error message: no free sectors available. It probably means that there is insufficient disk space and there is no extra space to allocate. Why does it prompt no free sectors available? That’s because the Liunx partition also needs space. Solution

1. Execute the fdisk command to obtain all information on the disk. The command is as follows:

Bash fdisk -l

2. You can find that vdb already has a partition, which is /dev/vdb1. Its size is exactly the size of the entire disk. Because if we go to partition again, it will naturally not be partitioned, as shown below:

3. Then we need to delete the partition first, and then repartition it. If there are multiple partitions, you need to select the partition number. The following is a single partition without selecting it. Execute the following command:

Bash fdisk /dev/vdb d w

4. Now you can mount the disk again. It goes without saying how to mount it. Since you know how to partition, you must mount it. If you don’t know how to mount a hard disk on Linux, search on Baidu.
