Recently when I checked the Banwagonhost API, I found that there was an abuse point in the returned information. So what are the Banwagonhost abuse points? Translated, it means abuse points or abuse points. What is the use of these points? The Banwagonhost abuse points are mainly used to calculate the number of abuses we have made. What are abuse points for bricklayers

As mentioned above, abuse points, also known as abuse points, are a score used to count the violations of user terms by our VPS.

Each of our VPS will have a total abuse points after purchase. Generally speaking, it may be 1,000 points/year. According to the statistics of the natural year, that is, January 1st to December 31st of each year is counted as a cycle.

Once we violate the terms during use, the VPS will be automatically suspended by the KiwiVM control panel, and a certain amount of abuse points will be generated, which is the total points consumed.

When the total abuse points are consumed, the VPS can no longer be used this year and must wait until the next calendar year before it can continue to be used.

So how to check the abuse points of the bricklayer? Generally speaking there are two methods.

First, when our VPS violates the terms, it will be suspended, and our current abuse points will be directly displayed in the KiwiVM control panel. There is currently no such screenshot, but I may have the opportunity to add it in the future.

The second method is to view abuse points directly by calling the Banwagonhost API. The method is as follows.

1. Log in to SSH;

2. Enter the following command:

Then in the returned results, scroll to the bottom and you can see the following information.

That is, the following items:

The first item suspended refers to whether it is suspended. It is currently not suspended, so it is false.

The second item policy_violation means whether the terms are violated. There is currently no violation, so it is false.

The third item, suspension_count, means the statistics of the number of times it has been suspended. Because it has not been suspended so far, it is null.

The fourth item, total_abuse_points, is what we care about, the total abuse points, because it has not happened so far, so it is 0.

The fifth item, max_abuse_points, is the maximum abuse point, which is a limit. If this limit is exceeded, the VPS will be suspended.
