Cloud servers and VPS
Hostwinds Cloud servers and VPS are the same at their core. They are the same product, have the same technical specifications and the same features.
Whether you order a cloud server or a VPS, it will appear in your account as managed or unmanaged "SSD Cloud X" (where X is your server's tier). This means you have a virtual private server built into the Hostwinds Cloud infrastructure and have access to our Cloud Portal functionality.

Billing
You may notice that the Cloud page displays server tier prices in an hourly format. However, this is mainly to make it easier to compare Hostwinds' servers to those of other merchants, who bill their servers as hourly instances.
