In the fourth quarter of fiscal 2021, Akamai achieved net income of US$160.5 million, with earnings per share of US$1.49 after deducting specific costs such as stock compensation. Fourth-quarter revenue reached $905 million, up 7% from a year ago.

Today’s Linode deal is Akamai’s second big acquisition in recent months, following last September’s $600 million acquisition of Israeli startup Guardicore Ltd., which sells a micro-segmentation platform for securing enterprise networks. .
