The Vultr VNC function allows us to remotely connect to Vultr VPS through a browser. When we cannot connect to Vultr locally or there is no SSH client available, we can use the VNC function to achieve online SSH login. This website will share the steps to use the Vultr VNC function and the points to note when using it.
1. Vultr VNC usage tutorial
Log in to the Vultr official website and find your Vultr VPS:
Click the "View Console" function in the upper right corner:
Enter Vultr's login name and password. The login name is root. The password can be copied first and then pasted in using the "Send Clipboard" function on the VNC page (Vultr SSH information acquisition: "Vultr SSH connection information: Obtain Vultr's IP Address, port, user name and password"), the password will not be displayed when inputting, just press Enter after pasting to confirm the connection:
As shown in the picture below, this means that we have successfully connected to Vultr through the VNC function:
2. Points to note when using Vultr VNC
Vultr VNC is generally used when we cannot connect to Vultr VPS locally. For example, the Vultr IP is blocked and cannot be connected, or we have modified some configuration files, causing Vultr to fail to start normally. In this case, we can use VNC Connect directly to Vultr VPS.
For normal use of Vultr VPS, it is recommended that you use an SSH client, such as Terminal or iTerm2 on Mac, PuTTY or Xshell on Windows:
