Cloudflare CF self-selected IP tutorial, with CF premium IP

Generally speaking, in order to hide our own IP, we will choose some CDN services. Currently, the most used free CDN is Cloudflare. But under normal circumstances, Cloudflare cannot choose the IP by itself. Sometimes the IP assigned to us may not perform well, and we can only make do with it. But we all hope to use CF's faster IP. Then it is necessary to choose your own IP.

So in this article, we will talk to you about how to customize CF nodes.

The method is divided into three steps

1. Connect with CF partners

2. Modify the nameserver to a third party (can be omitted)

3. Resolve to the specified IP

4. What IPs does CF have?

One Access to CF Partners

Because we need to use CNAME resolution to self-select IP, and CF does not support cname access, we have to use CF partners. We chose Benniu here because it ranks first on Baidu, so we chose it.

If your domain name has not been connected to Benniu.com, you can select [CNAME/IP access] when accessing. If you have already selected DNS access, change it to [CNAME/IP access], as shown below

Then in the domain name resolution settings, add the domain name you need, taking the test we added as an example

2 Modify the nameserver to a third party

This step can actually be omitted. You can just use the nameserver provided by your domain name provider. However, if you choose a service provider such as Alibaba Cloud Resolution or Tencent Cloud Resolution, they can split the resolution line and let our Self-selected IP is more flexible. We choose Tencent Cloud Resolution here because the domain name is on Tencent Cloud.

3 Resolve to the specified IP

Now we just need to go to domain name management and resolve the domain name to the CF IP we want. If you did not perform the second step, the function of line analysis may not be available. Here we resolve Telecom users and China Unicom users to different IPs, and other users to another IP, so that no matter what network the user is on, they will have a better experience.

Ping the domain name and find that it has been successful.

At this point, Cloudflare CF self-selected IP has been completed.
