BestTrace View VPS Server Backhaul Routing Linux Installation Tutorial

BestTrace is a trace tool with IP address under ipip.net. The Windows version is very easy to use and also comes with a map. BestTrace has also launched a Linux version, which makes it much more convenient to observe the return route.

CentOS:

yum -y install wget zip wget https://cdn.ipip.net/17mon/besttrace4linux.zip

Ubuntu/Debian:

apt install -y wget zip wget https://cdn.ipip.net/17mon/besttrace4linux.zip

Then unzip:

unzip besttrace

Grant permission:

chmod +x besttrace

Then you can run it, for example:

./besttrace 119.28.6.6 (The IP here is your local IP. Please go to www.ipip.net to check the local IP. Some people will add -q 1 after the IP to see where it goes.)
