How to set up a new window in the WordPress navigation menu

After the WordPress navigation menu function is added, the current window will be opened by default, but sometimes we want the link to open in a new window, such as adding an external link. In fact, WordPress supports the setting of menu links for opening new windows, but this setting option is relatively hidden and is not displayed by default. Check the display settings option

First enter the menu settings page: background Appearance>Menu, then click Display Options in the upper right corner, and check Link Target, as shown in the figure :

Set a new window to open

After checking the link target, you can set the link. If you need to open a new window to set up a link, you can click the lower triangle icon of the link option to expand the settings panel, find and check Open the link option in a new tab, and then save the menu, as shown in the figure:

After setting this up, you can open the page in a new window by clicking this link.
