In fact, Snail has always suggested that if we want to deploy PHP+MYSQL website programs, it is better to use the Linux system, which is relatively convenient in terms of resource utilization and subsequent maintenance.

Maybe it is because of the habits of many webmasters, or they are used to seeing the WYSIWYG interface of Windows systems, and they also like to use Windows systems when using PHP programs. In this article, Snail continues to configure the environment in which the PHP+MYSQL website can run on the previously installed Pagoda panel, and simply tests the installation process of the website.

First, install the software required for the PHP environment

Normally, if there are no special requirements, it is enough to install PHP+MYSQL database. You can choose PHP5.2-7.1 version. Here I will demonstrate that I just installed a PHP5.6 version and MYSQL version 5.5.

Web Server also needs to choose Nginx or Apache, IIS, or you can install PHP first. Here I install Nginx. When installing the MYSQL database, you will be prompted whether you need to change the ROOT database password. If we need to change it, change it. If you don’t need to change it, you will see the default password on the software interface, record it, and you can change it later.

But a miracle happened. I was going to change my password, but it kept saying "Processing, please wait...\\". After a while, it prompted an error, unable to change? Then don’t change it yet and record the default one.

Second, create a website with Pagoda Windows panel

1. Software login interface

Here we can directly use the Pagoda client software to create websites, databases, and FTP (I have not installed the FTP software. If necessary, install filezilla server similarly to the above).

Select websites, FTP, and databases on the software interface to create and delete them accordingly, and manage information. It can also be similar to the Linux panel, with a URL client (usually ip: 888) and then manage it online.

Website management is done similarly to the CP panel we saw. It is richer in functionality than the software client. It is recommended to use this panel directly, so that you do not need to remotely connect to the server every time and create and manage it directly online.

PS: For security reasons, we can modify the port and username admin in the panel to another username.

2. Create a website/database

Visual interface, when creating a website, you can automatically create a password by just selecting a domain name and database. If you install one version of PHP, do not select it. If you install multiple versions, you can select it. Database, website, and FTP (need to be installed first) can be created directly using the WEB panel.

After creation, we can place the program in the corresponding website directory and the wizard will install the website.

Finally, other usages are the same as the interface of the Linux version. Site management, SSL, pseudo-static and other controls can be performed directly in the WEB panel.
