Complete Windows 7 installation and configuration of IIS to implement local debugging of ASP script programs

Whether we are debugging PHP or ASP script CMS programs, or even designing website theme templates, it is best to do it locally, so that the efficiency can be greatly improved. The XP system I used before was relatively simple to install IIS, but after switching to WIN7, I never studied how to install IIS. It is slightly different from XP because it requires configuration and setting permissions. The previous ZBLOG 2.X templates were all operated on the server, which was not efficient.

My local IIS was installed successfully, but the problem of database permissions was not solved. This morning I finally found the solution and completed the configuration, so Snail will share this tutorial today, because Snail’s consistent purpose is to complete it. First step, open \\"Control Panel\\" – \\"Programs\\" – \\"Turn on or off WINDOWS features\\"

The second step is to add the required IIS component functions

According to the prompts in the above picture, you need to add the functions required by IIS.

The installation process will take a long time, we just need to wait.

The third step, configuration

First, you need to go to \\"Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager\\" in the management tool, and set the path to \\"Advanced Settings\\" on the right side of the picture above.

Secondly, you need to double-click the ASP icon in the picture above and set the startup parent path to TRUE.

Again, set the port on the right side by "Binding". The default is 80, but we can set it to something else.

Finally, the default document checks whether other default homepages need to be added.

The fourth step is to set database permissions

This step is more important. After I set it up like this before, I still couldn't build a local ASP site. It turned out that the c:\\\\windows\\\\temp folder was not given full control permissions for all users.

In this way, we have completed all the construction and can now build the ASP site locally.
