Because Snail has discovered that Tencent Cloud has also begun to force the selection of security groups when creating servers and installing systems, otherwise it will not be usable.

First, create a new security group

When we start to create a new server, we will be asked to forcefully select a security group. We can choose any one that comes with the official system first. If we don’t choose one, we will not be able to continue to purchase and activate the server.

We need to create a custom security group rule first. Then we create add rules.

Here we can see inbound rules and outbound rules. If we are building a website to visit, we only need to fill in the inbound rules. If we need the server to push or export information, we need to set corresponding outbound rules. For example, if the files packaged by our server need to be pushed to other servers by SCP, then you need to set export rules, otherwise your files will not be pushed out.

We can add regular rule ports with fixed settings, just add them directly. If we have other ports, we need to customize them. For example, I will add port 8888 as an example.

If the rules need to be modified in the future, it is okay.

Second, bind instance method

After we add the setting rules, we need to bind them to our Tencent Cloud server instance.

We choose to switch to an associated instance.
