64M memory VPS to build a WordPress blog (one-click installation)

After writing the article, this cheap annual payment machine can either find a domain name and create a website, or you can use SSH yourself. , it is worthwhile to use it rationally.

Let’s first take a look at the configuration of the machine I bought. It has 64M of memory. It actually has 72M of RAM, 16M of SWAP, 2G of hard disk, and it seems to be an SSD. The monthly traffic is 100GB, which is quite good. Don't worry about why the RAM on it is so high, because I set up the WORDPRESS environment and then ran the program, so the KIWIVM panel data is not very accurate. I will tell you the actual running memory situation at the end.

The first step, installation environment

Snail will definitely think of using DEBIAN. In a normal blog environment, I also like to use debian+llsmp installation package. After all, it saves resources than centos. So take the VPS and reinstall debian 6 32-bit (it is best if you have a mini version).

Because Snail is not yet capable of writing scripts, it is still possible to modify them, so I look for scripts that everyone has used from the great Internet. I like to use one-click packages because most people are just like me and are lazy. , so I found the script package on yaoblog. After testing the installation, there was no problem, so I prepared to write a tutorial with this package (I have also tested the scripts in other blogs, including foreign 32M, which seems to be invalid now).

The second step, download the installation package and install

Download the installation script and the following five running scripts to install the system environment respectively. Just install it directly if you want to use it anyway.

Step 3. Install the WordPress blog program

bash 64mb-debian-wordpress.shwordpress laozuo.org

Explanation: Here is the installation of the first WP program. Finally, "laozuo.org\\" is the site that needs to be bound. At that time, the folder path of the domain name will be generated in the /var/www/ directory. If you need to create multiple sites, just run the above line and modify the domain name that needs to be bound.

Finally, set up the website

After our domain name resolution IP takes effect, we can directly open the bound domain name. We can directly set the name, username, and password of the website without configuring MYSQL, and then the WP will be built.

After installing wordpress, the memory occupied is 28M. Of course, this is based on no traffic and no plug-ins installed. It is estimated that there is traffic or it will be difficult to run after installing plug-ins.
